Sleek MakeUP products are not available here in the Philippines until last year. I really do not know where it originated from but the packaging says that it was designed and developed in the United Kingdom and produced in Taiwan or China. It is also well known in the US.
The said brand is known for their highly pigmented makeup products, very sleek packaging, hence the name and its affordability.
Now, this particular product that I am featuring is their contouring and blush palette which I fell in love with the moment I saw it. I think that it is very convenient because one packaging holds three products already. Very compact and fits well in the makeup kit.
I ordered it from Luxola together with the i-Divine au naturel eye shadow palette which I will be reviewing also on my next blog. It retails for P738.50 – free shipping from Singapore. (Luxola offers free shipping when your purchases go beyond P1,300.00).
Enough with the introduction, let’s go on with the review.
Their packaging looks very appealing to me because first and foremost i love Black. Secondly, it is designed very simple and sleek. I also love that it comes with a large, good quality mirror.
I got mine in the shade Light – 373. The palette contains 20 grams of product and takes 24 months before expiry.
Other available shades are Fair and Medium.
The description at the back part of the box says that this Face Form Palette is the ultimate contouring multi-palette. The unique compact includes: A matte, easy to blend contour powder, An illuminating highlighter and a Shimmer blush for a healthy bronzed glow or a brilliant flush of color.
I have to say, these claims are all true based from the tests I did. A big THUMBS UP!
I have never tried contouring my face until recently. After watching so many youtube videos, I observed that simple contouring can really give the face another dimension, a more edgier look, giving an illusion of a much slimmer/trimmed feature. All you have to do is to find a perfect contouring powder or cream and a little practice in the application, (i myself is still enhancing my contouring skills).
Lucky for me, my first ever contouring palette did not disappoint me.
This contouring powder has a medium brown color with a nice matte finish. It is very easy to work with, blends really well in the skin. I like to apply it using my E.L.F Angeled Blush Brush.
Below are pictures of me wearing the contour powder.
Though it may look a little bit “orangy” in the pictures, it’s actually not. It maintains to be a nice medium brown color when applied.
I LOVE this blush. It is highly pigmented, has a coral/peach color with very fine golden sheen to it. As you can tell in the second frame of the grid, the shimmer is quite visible when i slightly tilted my arm towards the light.
I think the pictures failed to gave justice on the color payoff of the blush but the sheen is quite obvious in the apples of my cheek.
Since this blush is really pigmented you have to blend it very well so that it will not look too heavy or thick. Also, because it is more on a shimmery finish, I do not think that I can wear it for everyday. Well maybe I can, but just a little amount will do.
All in all, I really love this blush because it give’s my face an instant glow and make it looks radiant. It is also long lasting which is great.
I like this highlighter as much as I like the contouring powder and the blush. It is also pigmented, illuminates and provides radiance to the skin. I can describe the shade as a peachy/ivory white with very fine shimmers. I like that it is not glittery.
As you can see, I am pointing the highest point of my cheek with my finger where the highlighter is applied. The radiance is noticeable.
