Hey Sista!
If you are a beauty blogger, beauty enthusiast or a skin care/makeup junkie, I bet my entire make up brushes (though they are not actually too many lol!) that you already heard of Althea Korea. Pictures of pink boxes, loads of Korean beauty products and happy faces of the girls holding their goodies are flooding Instagram!
Althea officially launched last February 15, 2016 in the Philippines, though they made their beta website available for on-line shoppers on a much earlier time. I immediately signed up to explore all the products that they offer and how things are going, but have not placed my order yet.
Website : Althea Philippines
Of course, being the nosy girl that I am, I waited for the day after Valentines Day for me to enjoy the perks!
For every new sign up, you will automatically:
- Be entitled to a P300.00 worth of credits.
- Avail free-shipping service for orders worth P999.00 and up (regularly P1, 500.00 and up).
- Avail discounts, buy one take one promos and even get free items.
So, if you are a first time on-line shopper or just clueless about the process of ordering, let me give you a walk through my entire shopping experience using my phone. Let’s start!
In order to avail the perks of the Althea Grand Launch, I did a new sign up using my other email address. It is very easy, just fill in your email address follow by your password and then you will immediately receive a welcoming email and a link to get you back on the website to start shopping.
I placed my orders exactly February 15, 2016 (Monday Night). Since I already knew what products I want to avail (what do you expect after weeks of surveillance? *Laughs!), I immediately filled up my bag. Afterwards, I sent my two besties a message asking if they want to order some products too.
Speaking of products, there are a lot to choose from. Be it for Skin care, Makeup and stuff for Hair and Body. For easier browsing, there are categories for their Best Sellers, Most Viewed items and New Arrivals.
You can also browse by brands too. Some are as follows:
Banila Co•Clio•Etude House•Holika Holika•Innisfree•It’s Skin•Laneige•Missha•Nature Republic•Peripera•Skinfood•The Face Shop•Tony Moly•Too Cool for School•VDL•W-Lab•3CE
After I added the additional items from my friends, I then move on with the Spending of Points part. As you can see below, I maximized my P300.00 credits. You also have the option to just use a certain portion of the points you have and reserve the remaining for your next purchase.
Next is the coupon part. I do not have any so I skipped this, but if you happen to have one while shopping, just fill in the code provided to you on the box.
Once you are decided about the products you picked. It’s time to Checkout.
After tapping the Checkout button for the first time, you will be directed to the ONE STEP CHECKOUT where the Billing Address will be asked.
You will also see the Payment Methods that you can use. You can pay via PayPal, or through your credit card: Visa/Mastercard/American Express/Discover.
A radio button that asked if you would like to spend your points will be there also, just tap it again.
An ORDER REVIEW will appear, take time to scan once again the items your picked and their quantity. In here, you can still have the access to edit the contents of your bag before Checking out.
The Grand total of what you will spend is computed. The amount of the discounts you avail (for new arrival items), the shipping fee (which did not applied to me) and the amount of points/credits you used will be automatically deducted.
For the second time, Hit Checkout.
Upon Check out, you will automatically be directed to the Paypal page. Since I do not have a Paypal account, I used my Mastercard instead. You can do this by just tapping the “Pay with a card” option.
Pretty standard, you will be asked your card number, security code and date of expiration of your card. Afterwards, tap continue.
Then your payment will start processing. It will just take a minute or less.
Lastly, the address where to deliver your orders will be asked.
Once this appears, Congratulations Girl! You did great!
After a couple of minutes you will received a confirmation message to your email with the tracking number of the shipment. You just have to click it to view the status and whereabouts of your package from time to time. You can also check the status by signing in to the website, tap My Account then My Orders.
Now let us talk about Shipping and Delivery.
If you are in the Philippines, Do Not Fret! Because your package will not going to pass through the post office. It means that no one is going to open your package and charge you with something. Your goodies will be delivered straight to your door step untouched.
Althea Korea promise to deliver your package within 5-8 days after placing your order. I received mine on the 7th day (February 22, 2016 – Monday).
But actually, the delivery man texted me earlier, (February 20, 2016 – Saturday) asking if I am available to receive my package on that day, unfortunately my office work is until 12 noon only every Saturdays so I requested him to just deliver it to me on Monday instead.
Technically, my package would have been on my hands on the 5th day after placing my order knowing that it came from Korea, It’s Amazing right?! Bravo Althea! (*** slow clap).
In a nut shell, I had a hassle-free transaction with Althea. I love and appreciate that:
- Their website is very user friendly.
- Detailed information about specific products are available.
- Provide couple of payment options.
- Fast delivery (beat the maximum of 8 days allowance).
- Very nice and neat packaging.
- The goodies were handled with care.
- They offer returns within 30 Days if your are not satisfaied with the product you ordered.
Will I Re-order? – Yes!
Wil I recommend it to on-line shoppers? – Yes!
Hope this helps you decide whether to purchase from Althea or not. I tell you it is worth the try.
The Unboxing of my goodies will be up on my next blog, so stay tuned.
Happy Shopping! Mmuuuaaahhh!
