I lost my Traffic!!! New Year, New Challenges, More Fun!

NEW YEAR! … NEW CHALLENGES … MORE FUN! 

I have been blogging for two years now and I have to say that I really enjoy what I am doing. Before year 2017 ended, I had an idea of changing my blog name to make it more “me”. I decided to change it from chictonic.wordpress.com to chichiblogsit.wordpress.com because I wanted to incorporate my name on the blog. However, an unfortunate thing happened. As I am going through the process of changing my blog name, I think I must have click something that I shouldn’t and as a result … I lost my traffic!!!! 

From an average of 250 to 300 readers a day, it drastically dropped to 15 and some days even lower. As expected I am stunned,  felt helpless and sorry for myself. Good thing all my blog posts and number of followers remained intact,  it’s just the traffic but still it really matters to me. I tried Site Re-Direct but then again, it was unsuccessful. 

Finally I gave up from recovering my lost traffic and lifted my self from being demotivated. I will still continue writing posts under my new blog name, even more often this year 2018. Promoting my blog religiously on my social platforms can also be a great help. In short, I will move on and continue to do what I love to do. Who knows, my traffic would be back to normal again.

These are the lessons that I have learned from this experience. 

1. Think before you click!
2. There is nothing wrong in committing a mistake, just own up to it. 
3. Lift yourself and always move forward.
