What’s good about it?

  • Gentle for sensitive skin because it only has a pH level range of 4.6 – 6.5.
  • Does not make the skin feeling tight after cleansing.
  • It has a very subtle coconut scent.
  • Skin feels clean and smooth after every wash.
  • The packaging is a pump bottle which is always convenient.
  • Has a micro foam formula that cleanses away impurities without irritating the skin.

What’s not good about it?

  • I tend to use extra pumps of the product because unlike other gel cleansers, this one does not easily create a rich lather.
  • I still need to double cleanse especially when I’m wearing a waterproof mascara.
  • Takes a little while to rinse off.

How I use it?

  • After removing my makeup or just cleansing my face with micellar water, I just get 2-3 pumps of the cleanser, form a lather on my hands and gently massage my face with it.

Over-all Thoughts

The fact that I have sensitive skin, this entire range of Rovectin products is perfect for me. It’s free from all the irritating ingredients and aims to contribute nothing but goodness to dry and sensitive skin. I actually think all of these products can be used by people with different skin types.

Though most of the Rovectin Skin Essential Products that I featured are quite expensive, I think  it can be justified by the Science behind each product formulations.

Facts from the official Rovectin website.

Barrier Repair Complex –  The exclusive Barrier Repair Complex™ acts like a lipid, the skin’s natural source of moisture, to restore and fortify the skin. This plant-based compound gently builds the strength of the skin’s natural barrier to keep moisture in and damaging toxins out.

Asta Cell Fortifier – Factors like UV rays, pollution, and even stress can damage the skin’s natural barrier over time by activating a harmful oxidation process. The Asta Cell Fortifier™ is rich in Astaxantin, a potent and natural antioxidant extracted from micro algae. Astaxantin neutralizes the free radicals on the skin, helping to halt this damaging process and re balance the skin.

It is 550 times stronger than Vitamin E
550 times stronger than Green tea (catechin)
850 times stronger than Coenzyme Q10
6,000 times stronger than Vitamin C

Hypoallergenic, Toxin-free formula – The active and inactive ingredients in Rovectin products are safe and pure for everyone, from children to adults. Our products are produced in Santa Monica, California and each bottle is guaranteed to be:

 Carcinogenic free
 Fragrance free

  1. Thank you for your article, it’s really interesting, I was wondering about the rovectin lotion, if you are already using a aha/bha toner like Mizon AHA & BHA Daily Clean Toner, is it possible to risk the overexfoliation if you use this lotion ? Thank you very much !

    1. Hi Sonia! I’m no expert but its better to be safe. If you are planning to get the Rovectin Lotion, maybe you could alternate using it with the Mizon and BHA Daily Clean Toner 🙂
