Glow Gurl – a Chalk.ph Beauty Fair + I won an OPPO F9

Last August 18-19, 2018 Chalk.ph organized a beauty event entitled “Glow Gurl – a Chalk Beauty Fair” held at the U.P Town Center. This event was open for all beauty enthusiasts like me so I went there on the second day which was August 19, 2018. There were a lot of make up and skincare products available, they were my main target by the way haha!

Ms. Anne Clutz have a booth there for her make up brushes but I was not able to meet her because I already left the event before she came. Ms. Shaira Luna and Ms. Say Tioco were also there as guest speakers. Ms. Shaira’s talk was about defining ones personal brand while Ms. Say Tioco talked about Instagram-Worthy Cover Shoots. Yet again I was already gone when she came. 

But I guess the highlight of the event for me is well … Me Winning the SNAP YOUR BEST ‘GLOW UP’ SELFIE Contest! I won the brand new and not yet out of the market (at that time) F9 Selfie Smart Phone from Oppo, crazy right? What’s more crazier was that I had a moment with Ms. Coleen Garcia-Crawford on the stage because she was the one who awarded my prize.

In all honesty, participating in that photo contest was not on my mind at all! All I’m thinking of at that time were the make up and skincare products that I can bring home with me. It so happened that when I passed through the booth of Oppo, the guy there insisted me to join. My husband even pushed me to just strike a pose and that’s it. And so I let him to take my photo while holding the Oppo phone and upload it afterwards on my Instagram account with the required hashtag. According to the Oppo staff, Ms. Coleen herself will pick a winner. 

After that quick shoot, I continued roaming around to do my shopping. Never in my mind that I will be picked, one of the events organizers approached me just minutes after I uploaded the photo and told me to stay a little bit because I won the contest and will be called on the stage and I was like “really?”. 

Now since I have two cellular phones (1 personal and 1 company phone) I opted to give the Oppo F9 to my younger brother as a token for his high grades this past semester. So thank you Oppo Philippines and Chalk.ph! 🙂
