Review of the Dr. Morita Whitening & Moisturizing Essence Facial Mask

– East Meets West –

Packaged in a beautiful bento wrap, a box of the Dr. Morita Whitening & Moisturizing Essence Facial Mask was sent to me the other day. I am thrilled because the two main ingredients of this mask is Hyaluronic Acid from Japan and Mandelic Acid from Germany. Since I have sensitive and dry skin, wow! I feel like these mask was perfectly made for me and for other girls with the same skin condition as mine.

Product Claims: “Get brighter, younger-looking, and healthier skin with our Whitening & Moisturizing Essence Facial Mask! It combines the best skin care actives from nature and science: Mandelic Acid, Tranexamic Acid, Niacinamide, Licorice Root Extract, and Morus Alba Root Extract. Hydrate and heal your skin with Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid and Sodium Hyaluronate, designed to deliver hydration to even the deeper layers of the skin.

MANDELIC ACID –  is one of the gentlest alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds. It targets three major skin concerns such as: wrinkles and fine lines, hyper pigmentation and discoloration and acne (

HYALURONIC ACID (my favorite!) – is a substance that works as a magnet for moisture, helping your cells retain as much of it as possible so that your skin feels and appears hydrated, plump and healthy (

My thoughts about the Whitening & Moisturizing Essence Facial Mask

This sheet mask fits perfectly! As if it was custom made for the size of my eyes and lips. There was a generous amount of essences inside the packet. while the actual sheet mask was soaked with it. The essences were not tacky or sticky, its actually super light on the face. The material of the sheet mask is so soft and a little bit thinner which I prefer more, over thick ones. The adherence is super nice.

After 20 minutes, look how dewy and hydrated looking my skin was. Its soft and supple with no feeling of tackiness. I can see myself using this sheet mask more often, good thing Dr. Morita gave me ten pieces in total.

As for the whitening effect, I can’t actually tell anything about it as early as now.

I highly recommend this sheet mask for girls with sensitive and dehydrated skin as well as for girls matured skin because of its anti-aging skin benefits.

The Dr. Morita Whitening & Moisturizing Essence Facial Mask is available at SM Beauty or Watsons branch, for P74.00 each.
