– Ice, Ice, baby!
I love refrigerating some of my skincare stuff (mostly my sheet and eye masks) in order to enjoy the best out of them. But this Jeju Aloe Refreshing Soothing Gel from The Face Shop is next level, because I can actually freeze it! I’m so excited that I immediately purchased a tub and share my experience with you guys. It retails for P295.00 for a 300 ml/10.1 US fl. oz amount of product.
Claims: “Formulated with Aloe Vera Leaf Extract from Jeju to soothe and moisturize the skin. This gel can be used for various purposes, including moisturizer, facial pack and after sun-care. This product can be keep refrigerated or frozen for a more effective soothing result especially during the hot summer days”.
The consistency of this gel is comparable to a lotion, soft and smooth. It smells exactly like the Aloe Vera Gel from Nature Republic. It contains no parabens, talc, tar colorant, mineral oil and benzophenone-3.
As instructed, I let it froze. After I took it from the freezer, I was surprised because the texture of the gel drastically changed. It looks and feels like a creamy vanilla sorbet! Literally, there were some thin icicles formed and I enjoyed breaking/playing with it using my spatula.
This is how the gel looked like on my face before blending. The moment the product touched my face, it was like the best feeling ever! Its really cold and refreshing to the feel, perfect for the Philippine’s hot weather. Once blended, it quickly melts because of my body heat. It remained smooth and creamy and very easy to blend.
The coldness of the gel faded away after a minute or so but it did leave a cooling feeling to the skin especially when the air hits my face. Its not sticky, tacky or heavy to the feel. Its very lightweight actually. I let my husband tried it and he literally said “wow! ang sarap, ang lamig!”
The morning after, my skin feels and appears to be soft and plump. And can you see that glow on my cheeks? What’s more good about this Jeju Aloe Ice is that you can apply it on all parts of your body. I agree that it can be a perfect after sun-care product because of the coolness, refreshing and calming effects that it can provide. The price is even reasonable because a single tub of this product can last for months. Definitely sensitive and dry skin friendly!
Have you tried this Jeju Aloe Ice already? I’d love to read your thoughts about it.
