Shiseido Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation Review

It’s been a long while since I bought a liquid foundation and settled for powder ones since it’s quicker to apply and convenient, especially now that the Philippines isn’t mask free yet. Then, I received an invitation for a product launching, gala event and I figured its time to purchase a new foundation. So, I did what I’m good at … research.

Narrowed down my choices into two: (1) Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation – P2,500.00 to P2,700.00 and (2) Shiseido Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation – P3,000.00, you already know which won. I love how my makeup turned out, it’s all about the base. See the unboxing and swatch clip here.

This foundation has a wide range of shades available. I ordered mine online from Rustan’s already knowing my shade because I went to a Shiseido store at SM Megamall earlier to find the perfect shade for my skin tone with the help of the SA. I’m in the shade 250 SAND (For shade reference: I’m 120 Classic Ivory for Maybelline Fit Me, NC 20-25 MAC) . It was originally priced at P3,000.00 but I had a P250.00 discount which is great!

The packaging is simple but lux. The product is stored in a glass, squared bottle with a twistable cap to lock and unlock the pump. Love the embossed logo on top of it. The shade name and expiry period can be found at the bottom of the lightweight 30 ML bottle. It has SPF 30 PA ++++.

No flashbacks. This foundation has a light-adjusting technology that instantly adapts and responds to every light source to smooth and diffuse fine lines and create a luminous, lifted effect on the skin.

The consistency is a bit runny and light. It has the usual foundation scent but isn’t that strong. After blending it to the skin using a beauty blender and a brush, I much prefer using a dense foundation brush for more coverage and even application.

Coverage is medium to full, definitely buidable. It doesn’t cling to the dry areas of the skin and can cover up blemishes. This foundation needs the help of a concealer for an obvious pimple mark to completely covered. The finish is SUPERB! It gave me this radiant and healthy glowing skin appearance, hence the name “radiant lifting”. It’s like you are glowing from within.

As per the longevity, it remained intact and held its coverage during the five hour event and even good to go for an after party. I have been taking my face mask on and off, this foundation is not transfer-proof. When I got home, I noticed that it did cake-up a little and settled on my smile lines. Other that that, I found no other issue – do note that I did not wear a makeup primer and concealer underneath, just a light CICA cream as moisturiser and sunscreen of course.

Love, love, love this foundation! Worth every penny! I’m also using this when I have on-site office work but just with a super light layer, and I’m getting compliments about how good my skin looks 🙂
