– “better days ahead”

How are you guys holding up with the ongoing enhanced community quarantine? Stress and negativity is inevitable nowadays but we should not only take good care of our physical health but our mental and spiritual health as well. While feeding our mind with facts about COVID-19 and keeping ourselves updated with this health crisis, don’t forget to also breathe and be calm. Being pre-occupied with other things may greatly reduce our worries and fear. Remember, “a healthy mind can lead you to a healthy body”.

So just for a little diversion, I recently uploaded a post in my Youtube channel about the Sunglow Skincare Line from Fresh Philippines, in collaboration with Ms. Mae Layug and Ms. Rei Germar. The line comprises of sun protection products in vibrant colors that will help brighten your eyes and put a smile on your faces. Click this link for the video.

All Covered by AC Skin Saver Tinted Sunscreen Review

– “Not your ordinary Tinted Sunscreen”

As I have mentioned numerous times in my blogs, I’m such a huge fan of multi-purpose and compact makeup and skincare products. But if you’ll ask me what lured me to purchase and review the All Covered by Anna Cay Skin Saver Tinted Sunscreen (retails for P688.00), it would be its skin benefiting ingredients. The brand also claims that this product is not just an ordinary tinted sunscreen because of the coverage that it can provide which is up to medium. Given all this information, I had such high hopes with the performance of this tinted sunscreen. Read on for my thoughts.

3CE Take a Layer Multi Pot Review

– A single pot for the Lips, Cheeks and Eyes

If you are like me who loves compact and multi-purpose things … then you are going to be interested with the Take a Layer Multi Pot from the high end Korean brand 3CE (3 Concept Eyes). It is a cream product that you can use as an eye-shadow, cheek blush and lip color. It has been on my radar for months now and finally here’s my thoughts about it.

“The highly pigmented formula delivers vivid colors for a brightening effect on your lips, cheeks and eyes. Arabian cotton, fermented vitamin tree and shea butter provide skin protection and nourishment with a barely-there feel. Control the intensity of the color you apply, building layers to achieve your desired look”.

PACKAGING You can never go wrong with sparkly, shiny things! The packaging of this multi pot is GORGEOUS! It’s golden, its shiny and even comes with a good quality mirror. The compact is sealed with the shade name at the back part of it. The box also tells you what shade is inside it.

Maybelline Fit Me! Skin Fit Powder Foundation Review

— Finally a foundation that I can wear on a daily basis!

The Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation is one of the drug store foundations that I love because of a lot of reasons. If you’re curious, here is the link of my separate review about it.  So, when the Fit Me! range released the Skin Fit Powder Foundation and some Blushes, I told myself that I have to try them ASAP! 🙂

The Skin Fit Powder Foundation retails for P349.00. The packaging is sturdy, simple, shiny and sleek that comes with a huge mirror which is always a plus for touch ups. Its also super nice that the powder in the compact is replaceable.

Kris Life Kit: Kris Aquino’s Ever Bilena Collection

Ms. Kris Aquino’s newly launched makeup collection in collaboration with local makeup brand, Ever Bilena is the talk of the town in the beauty community today. The collection includes a Brow Liner with Brow Mascara and a Matte Crayon Lipstick in two shades each. I got myself one shade of each product to see if they are of good quality despite the very affordable price tag. These are actually the very first Ever Bilena products that I purchased so I’m kinda excited what my impressions would be.

The Kris Brow and Brow Mascara comes in two shades which are Happy Taupe and Beyond Brown. Based on the reviews that I have watched, bloggers said that the shade Beyond Brown appears to be too dark and has a reddish undertone which nobody likes.

The Kris Matte Matic Lipstick also comes in two shades. They are Life – a Pink shade and Love in Red. Since I don’t fancy wearing red lipstick on a daily, I chose Life because it is more wearable.

Heroine Make Mascara Remover Review

Heroine Make is a Japanese brand mostly known for their waterproof, smudge proof and long lasting mascaras. I’m a huge fan of the brand because their products are really of high quality and stay true to its promise (my review of the Heroine Make Volume and Curl mascara here). So here’s the dilemma, how to remove a stubborn, hard to remove waterproof mascara from our lashes without losing a single strand?!

Well, Heroine Make is clever enough to produce it’s own mascara remover that can deal with their waterproof mascara and mascaras from other brands as well.

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler Review

Have you watched the movie The Devil Wears Prada by Anne Hathaway? It’s one of my super favorite chick flick movies and in this same movie is where I first got my eyes on the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler. (for my top 15 favorite chick flick movies, click here).

I am using it for two years now and its really Uh-may-zing! It’s a perfect match for my holy grail Heroine Make Volume and Curl Advanced Film Mascara(review here), because they just open up my eyes, keeps my lashes voluminous and stay curled the whole day.

Heroine Make Volume & Curl Advanced Film Mascara Review

Most Asians are not blessed with naturally full and voluminous eye lashes and I’m one of those people. This is one of the reasons why I consider mascara as one of the smartest inventions in the beauty world. They are created to open up our eyes just like that. There are a ton of mascaras in the market and we just have to choose what’s  best for us depending on our eye shape, length or thickness of our eye lashes. As for me, I already found my holy grail mascara from the Japanese brand Heroine Make and it is their Volume and Curl Waterproof Advanced Film Mascara

Review of the Original Beauty Blender : My Take on the Pink Egg

Everyone in the beauty community is familiar with this “legendary” pink, squishy, egg-shaped makeup sponge and the high price tag that comes with it. I purchased mine from Sephora Philippines hoping that it will be a game changer for me when it comes to foundation/concealer application and achieving a flawless base.

The beauty blender is contained in a see-through plastic canister with removable cap that has a tiny hole at the center. There is a small rounded pamphlet at the bottom part of the canister where the beauty blender sits. It basically tells you how to use and clean the makeup sponge.

Canister and BB

Coty AIRSPUN Loose Face Powder Review

img_7652While browsing my Instagram account I came across this product and saw some beauty junkies posting and talking about it. As I watch my favorite youtube local and international beauty bloggers, this was featured as well. So as you guys could already guest, I purchased one for myself to know what the hype is all about.

Basically, it is just an ordinary loose face powder used to set your foundation, beauty balm, color correcting creams, concealer and what not. Personally, I am not a fan of loose face powders because it annoys me whenever they scatter all over the place. But I thought since this one from C0ty looks so promising I decided to give it a try and little did I know… I would LOVE it! A LOT!img_8293
