DIY Birthday Cake for Dogs + Domo’s 3rd Barkday at the Mall

– Show your love with a Cake 🙂

When my fur baby Domo celebrated his first and second barkday, I ordered a special dog cake (which he did not liked that much) and a dog-designed cake for him. Now on his third, I created or rather “assembled” haha! … a fruity peanut butter cake which I finished in just a jiffy, using ingredients that are already available in my kitchen. Absolutely no baking and mixing involved! Domo, Ryan and I loved it! – yes its for hoomans too 😉

Scout’s Honor – Vertis North

If you are the type of person who love cookies and a fan of all-day breakfast restaurants, then this food place is for you. Welcome to Scout’s Honor!  located at the ground level of Ayala-Vertis North.

The theme of this restaurant is obviously scouting and camping with all of the wooden chairs and benches, knots, scarves and axes on the wall and camping utensils of course. I personally find the idea really cute and something fresh.

Asakusa Home of Tempura

Shogun Set (Black Tiger Prawns) P578.00 for 5 pieces

I consider Japanese dishes as one of my comforts foods. I love that everything is served fresh and prepared with intricacy and beauty. Me and my food buddies came across a new Japanese Restaurant in Vertis North Ayala Mall called Asakusa with “home of tempura” as their tagline. Asakusa is actually a name of a district in Taito, Japan. As what the restaurant’s tagline dictates, their specialty is tempura be it ebi (shrimp), other kinds of seafood and vegetables.

Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen

Hey Foodies!

If you are reading this blog, I am pretty sure that you are wondering what good eats Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen has to offer or you simply craves for anything Italian. Whatever the reason is, you are in the right page. From a friend’s recommendation our group decided to spend our lunch at Mama Lou’s last Saturday.

For just a little background, Mama Lou’s is not a newly established restaurant which is what I thought of at first. Before they started putting up branches on various malls like in Ayala Vertis North where we dined, it’s first branch is located somewhere in Las Piñas City called Cafe Francais.

Apart from indulging yourself into fun water activities, experiencing the night life or just simply admiring the beauty of Boracay Island, another enjoyable thing to there is of course to EAT! In this blog, I will be featuring dishes and snacks that completed our Boracay escapade last summer.

Haven Bistro

Part of the Boracay Haven Resort is the Haven Bistro situated at the beachfront of Station 2. They served sumptuous yet affordable american and asian dishes. The ambiance of the bistro is super nice and relaxing.

Their lumpiang sariwa (fresh spring rolls) will surely entice your appetite by just looking at the colorful, fresh vegetables and it’s rich sauce with bits of toasted garlic.

The Party Tray Trend Feat. CCME Homemade Foodstuff Co.

Gone are the days when throwing for a party or a gathering in one’s place is a toxic and very tiring experience especially when it comes to food preparation. Thanks to  Food Caterers because finally there is someone who can do the heavy task of shopping food ingredients, do pre-cook preparations, cooking to dish presentation until clean up time. That means no more washing of huge pots and pans and cleaning up loads of food utensils.

But what if you will  just be having a simple get together or celebrate an occasion exclusively for friends or family members like birthdays, bridal and baby showers etcetera and hiring a caterer is not a practical thing to do?

Ninyo’s Fusion Cuisine and Wine Lounge

Undeniably, L.O.V.E. is in the air! It’s  Feb-ibig as what some of us calls it. In today’s blog I thought of sharing with you a very romantic place where Ryan and I celebrated our wedding anniversary last November. For those couples out there who still have no place to go to on Valentines Day, you are in for a treat. (I hope I am not too late though – insert peace sign).

Ninyo’s Fusion Cuisine and Wine Lounge is located at Loyola Heights in Quezon City. It is actually an ancestral house turned into a fancy restaurant indoors and a garden restaurant outdoors. I also love the fact that it is not situated along with typical hotels and restaurants, giving you a feeling of positive isolation I must say. You have the option to dine indoors, al fresco or in their outdoor private gazebos.

Korean Frozen Treats in Manila

The day after the new year’s day, hubby and I went to Lucky Chinatown mall to have lunch and look into some things. Before we leave the mall, we decided to check out their grocery store called Metro Supermarket and do a little grocery shopping. We went down to the ground floor (frozen and imported goods section) and we saw a chest freezer full of frozen desserts from Korea!!! All of them are made by the Korean company; Binggrae Co. Ltd.

The first one that caught my eyes is the ice pop from the brand Melona (P31.00). It is a fruit flavored ice pop that is so creamy, fruity and very tasty. The amount of sweetness is just right.

When I was just a kid I have a dream of going to Japan just to taste different kinds of ramen that I can possibly find. Now, with all the emerging Japanese restaurants in the country we can still enjoy a nice bowl of authentic ramen without securing a Japanese visa.

Ramenagi is a Japanese restaurant that serves authentic Japanese ramen, dumplings and rice bowls. What I love about this restaurant is that you can customize your ramen the way you want it. Once settled, the waiter will give you an order sheet that basically asks what kind of ramen you like and how you want it to be prepared.

How to customize you ramen?

First, select your ramen.
