Skinfood Premium Lettuce & Cucumber Watery Toner

Toning is part of a skin care regimen done after cleansing the face. Ladies, no matter how thorough we wash our face still not all of the dirt are being taken away. So, Hooray for Toners!

Facial toners act as the “second wave” of the cleansing process because it ensures to remove the  deep seated dirt and grimes from the face. Toners also helps in shrinking large pores and balancing the skin’s PH level which is being disturbed by soaps or other facial cleansers.  Moreover, skin feels refreshed after applying a toner.

Personally, I am very fond of using the Premium Lettuce & Cucumber Watery Toner from Skinfood. I featured it on my Evening Skin Care Routine blog, just click on these ❥ ❥ ❥ in case you have not read it yet.

Packaging

For me, the packaging is very unique that is why I became interested about it in the first place. The container is made of hard plastic but you can totally squeeze it to make the product dispense quickly. Sanitation wise, the hole where the product comes out was sealed the first time I opened it. The cap really secured the product well.

Why I love it?

  • It is very gentle in the face, no harsh chemicals.
  • It is made out of natural ingredients. I had no break outs or any allergic reactions while using it.
  • Has a pleasant and refreshing scent to it, kind of like the smell of freshly sliced cucumber but sweetened.
  • It is not too watery; the consistency is a little thick which just makes it right.
  • A little amount goes a long way. I have been using it for like four to five months now, but the product in the bottle is barely half.

Application

I usually pour some product on a cotton round and gently apply it all over the face and neck. Afterwards, I feel like it is quickly absorbed by the skin. There is no sticky feeling whatsoever.

Cost

It costs  P800.00 per 180 ml .at Skinfood stores, but I got it for just P500.00 from Althea Philippines.

 Final thoughts

I totally recommend this toner to girls with sensitive skin because for one, as I have mentioned I did not break out. Secondly, it contains no harsh chemicals and you can really feel its gentleness during application plus it smells really good. In the morning, my face looks extra refreshed and supple. About the pore minimizing effect, I think that it will take time to see the results.

I’m so happy that I discovered this toner because I already tried some from other brands like Nivea and Celeteque but guess what? I had allergies hehe! The burden of having a sensitive skin.

Always take care of your skin.

Love, Chi

  1. Thanks for the review! I was very curious about this product and I think I might give it a try. I have sensitive oily skin but I find that products geared towards adding moisture (rather than removing sebum) works best for me.
