Huxley Secret of Sahara Extraordinary Deluxe Collection

Huxley is a cult favorite Korean skincare brand named after the author, Mr. Aldous Huxley. The entire brand is leading the trend of utilizing cactus oils for hydration as what women of the Sahara desert does. Their price line is a bit on the pricier side that’s why I’m glad that they came up with this deluxe collection set. Now I have the chance to try each of the products and see for myself if I’m gonna love them or not before splurging on the full size versions. 

The set contains a pouch and seven pieces of skincare products from the Secret of Sahara line.

1. POUCH ; Tender Case 

What’s good about it? The pouch has a unique feel and texture, kind of like a tissue paper. It has a gold zipper and the brand name “Huxley” is engraved on the pull tab which added a luxurious feel to it. The size of the pouch can fit on a medium-sized  purse. I love the idea of bringing all of the products with me when I travel,  secured in one single pouch (except for the hand cream). 

What’s not so good about it? The zipper can be a little hard to slide when it gets closer to the bottom stop. The hand cream does not fit in the pouch ( though it’s not a huge issue for me). 

Do I like it? YES!

2. Cleansing Water ; Be Clean, Be Moist (30 ml / 1.01 fl. oz.)

What’s good about it? Has a herbal-ly scent which is fresh and soothing.  Does the job of removing most of my  makeup and leave a moisturizing feeling on the skin. 

What’s not so good about it? Nothing. 

Do I like it? YES!

3. Cleansing Gel ; Be Clean, Be Moist (30 ml / 1.01 fl. oz.)

What’s good about it? Has a herbal-ly scent which is fresh and soothing.  The gel gets rid of the makeup residues left by the cleansing water which is just fine for me because I always double cleanse anyway. Leave a moisturizing feeling on the skin. 

What’s not so good about it? Nothing. 

Do I like it? YES!

4. Toner ; Extract It (30 ml / 1.01 fl. oz.)

What’s good about it? Has a herbal-ly scent which is fresh and soothing. The consistency is just like water but with a slight thickness to it. Leave a moisturizing feeling on the skin. 

What’s not so good about it? Nothing. 

Do I like it? YES!

5. Scrub Mask ; Sweet Therapy (30 g / 1.06 oz.)

What’s good about it? Has a herbal-ly scent which is fresh and soothing. The consistency is thick with generous amount of natural beads. This is one of the unique masks that I have tried because it produce a naturally occurring thermal sensation.  It warms up on the skin during application, creating a gentle heat that helps draw out impurities and swelling if you have troubled skin. My face felt smooth after rinsing and did not becomes dry at all. 

What’s not so good about it? I don’t know why it is called “sweet therapy” hehe! 😉

Do I like it? YES!

6. Healing Mask ; Keep Calm (30 g / 1.06 oz.)

What’s good about it? Has a herbal-ly scent which is fresh and soothing. It has a light consistency and provides a cooling and calming feel. Leaves the face moisturized and relaxed. 

What’s not so good about it? Nothing. 

Do I like it? YES!

7. Sleep Mask ; Good Night (30 g / 1.06 oz.)

What’s good about it? Has a herbal-ly scent which is fresh and soothing. It has a light consistency and provides a cooling and calming feel. Leaves the face moisturized and relaxed. Basically, it seem so similar with the healing mask in terms of effect and feel to the skin. 

What’s not so good about it? Nothing. 

Do I like it? YES!

8. Hand Cream ; Velvet Touch (30 ml / 1.01 fl. oz.)

What’s good about it? Has a herbal-ly scent which is fresh and soothing. The relaxing smell lingered on my hand for quite sometime. The consistency is just like of an ordinary cream but is not sticky at all. Skin feels and looks moisturized. 

What’s not so good about it? Nothing. 

Do I like it? YES!

Overall Impression: Eight YES’s for eight items! I’m way beyond impress with the collection. I also love the decent amount of the products as well as their herbal-ly scent that is fresh, soothing and calming. Using cactus oils and other natural ingredients is a genius idea in my opinion. No wonder,  I did not have any breakouts or any allergic reactions while using all of the products knowing that I have sensitive skin.
