Banila Co. Clean It Zero Vs. Heimish All Clean Balm

Cleansing the face is my favorite step of my skincare routine, for an obvious reason that you always have to start clean. Not to mentioned that there’s nothing more refreshing than a splash of cold water in the face. I have gel type cleansers, foaming facial washes, cleansing oils, cleansing pads, you name it. Then there are cleansing balms. Two of the most famous cleansing balms in the Asian Beauty Community today is the Banila Co. Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm and the Heimish All Clean Cleansing Balm. I got samples of each and now I’m wondering from which brand should I get a full size tub from. Let’s see.

Banila Co. Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm and Heimish All Clean Cleansing Balm are both made in Korea. They promise to quickly remove makeup and leave the skin feeling clean and fresh. Banila Co. Clean It Zero has a total of four variants to cater different skin types namely: (1) Radiance – for dry skin (2) Resveratrol – for oily skin type (3) Purity – for sensitive skin and (4) Pink – for combination/normal skin type.

Both cleansing balms have a “linaminty” and “minty-ish” scent though the scent of the Heimish balm is much stronger than the Banila Co. They also have the same sorbet like texture that quickly emulsifies once comes in contact to the skin. Both balms melts away makeup including my super waterproof mascara and liquid eyeliner in a jiffy. Yet again, both balms feels good to use, really blendable and most importantly, they did not irritate my sensitive skin.

The full size tub of both balms comes with a spatula which is very nice because its hygienic. The tubs are sealed with a screw type lid that secures the products from spillage and contamination.

I must warn you though that both balms are irritating in the eyes so be careful. I accidentally put quite a lot of product on my right eye and it hurts really bad.

In the photo below is my semi-full face makeup. I have my sunscreen, primer, medium coverage foundation, blush, brow product, liquid eyeliner, super waterproof mascara and lip tint.

I applied first the Banila Co. Clean it Zero on the right side of my face (your left). Within seconds, all my makeup including my super waterproof mascara came off just like that! The after feel is nice, I didn’t feel any tightening or drying of the skin.

And then, I use the Heimish All Clean Balm on the left side of my face (your right). Just like the Banila Co, all makeup melted away including my super waterproof mascara. Skin feels good, and hydrated and no tightening feeling as well.

  1. Finally found this. I really like the Heimish one better because of the scent and the price point. I’ve only tried the original Banila Co variant tho. Plus the packaging of heimish is more one-hand-friendly to me!
