Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Brown Nudes

 

Most women are going gaga over nude lip products lately. With this, local and international makeup companies created their own line to join the fuzz. The Kylie Lip Kits from Kylie Jenner even intensified the craziness here in the Philippines and abroad.

Now it is time for Maybelline to release their version of neutral-brown shades, still under their color sensational creamy matte lipstick line. For those girls who cannot afford Mac lipsticks and Kylie Lip Kits … this is for you. Each shade claims to be dupes of some well-loved shades from the said high-end makeup brands.

BeautyMnl exclusively launched the collection and of course I did not let the opportunity passed. I was wait listed until July 29, 2016 which was the date of the official launch.  Instead of the regular price of P350.00, I only purchased the lippies for P199.00 per tube. I went to SM North Edsa two days after the launch and found only one shade while it is still not available at Trinoma.

There are six shades in the collection:

Daringly Nude               A mid-toned taupe color that mirror the perfect latte. Dupe for KLK                                             Koko K and MAC Antonio’s Girl.

Nude Embrace               A caramel beige that straddles warm and cool undertones. Dupe for                                               KLK Exposed and MAC Lady Be Good.

Clay Crush                       A dusty, romatic, rose-toned brown. Dupe for MAC Velvet Teddy.

Nude Nuance                  A super-flattering medium brown with a hint of pink. Dupe for                                                      MAC Whirl and KLK Dolce K.

Burgundy Bush            A rich and vampy brick red. Dupe for MAC Runner.

Touch of Spice              A brown-laced pinky-mauve. Dupes for MAC Twig and KLK Candy K.

The shades that I ordered were Nude Embrace, Nude Nuance and Burgundy Blush.

Burgundy blush is the darkest shade, be careful in the application because it might go over your lip line. Make sure to also check it from time to time because it can get to your teeth and nobody wants that 🙂

Claims

Apart from the proven claims above, I noticed that it is very creamy that make the application easy. It is also very light in the lips as if you are not wearing anything. In terms of longevity, it stayed on my lips for a pretty 5 hours which is not bad. For those days that you have dry lips, this lipsticks will get you covered. 

Maybelline products are either hit or miss for my sensitive skin, some work while some make my lips itch or dry up. Luckily these creamy mattes suites me.
